OUR PRODUCTS
The year was 2002 when Boyrommelle G. Saquilayan played with the idea of helping his friends and relatives by supplying them with cube ice. Born and raised in Gen. Trias, Cavite, where families and friends enjoy get-togethers and gatherings all-year round, Rommelle experienced first-hand the difficulty of sourcing ice whenever supplies ran out everytime there is an occasion.
It was not until four years after when Rommelle finally raised enough capital to transform his dream into a reality. In 2006, he bought his first ice machine with 6-sack capacity and started catering to the very minimal ice demand of his relatives, friends and neighbors. After a few years, the news that Rommelle is selling purified ice cubes reached even the adjoining barangays. Soon thereafter, individual customers and establishments started calling him to request for ice delivery. So in 2007, he started renting a tricycle to help him in delivering the ice to his growing number of clients. In May of 2008, he purchased another ice machine, capable of producing 10 sacks of ice.
COMPANY HISTORY
With the increase of his client base, product demands and a growing family, Rommelle formally registered the business in February 5, 2009 and decided to name it after his beloved late grandmother, who passed away also in 2002. He decided to name the business after his Lola Alejandra’s nickname and registered it as ANDAY’S (AND-ICE) CUBE ICE RETAILER. With the delivery increased to 20 sacks per day, he rented a passenger jeepney to carry the delivery load. Soon he was able to buy his very first closed-van, and the rest (as they say) is history.
The business that started as a dream, was established 7 years after Rommelle first thought of the idea. Today, ANDAY’S CUBE ICE RETAILER is delivering an average of 120 sacks per day to various business establishments including major fastfoods and restaurants, and would forever serve as a living tribute to his grandmother who taught him the importance of kindness, respect and hardwork.
